Given the specific nature of the data contained and their significance for the implementation of the tax and economic policies of the country, Sogei must ensure adequate levels of physical security for the Tax Information System, which it achieves by procedures and instruments which physically protect the places in which it operates and the tax information.
Sogei manages the Tax Information System from its Rome offices at:
Via Mario Carucci 99, registered office and operational headquarters, designated as the seat of the Tax Information System
Via Mario Carucci 85, an exclusively operational office.
For the protection of tax information, Sogei uses external Disaster Recovery sites where processing systems operate and security copies of the databases are kept, to ensure service continuity in the case of operational disruption.
The headquarters at Via Mario Carucci 99 is protected by armed security guards of the Tax Police Corp, whose barracks are inside the property complex.
The armed security corps of the Tax Police Corp, which operates in shifts 24 hours a day, every day of the year, ensures the complete and continuous control of the premises including access routes, and the management of activities connected with access control.
To ensure the physical security of the offices in which it operates and, in particular, of the headquarters at Via Mario Carucci 99, in compliance with the instructions of the Tax Administration and in collaboration with the Tax Police Corp, Sogei:
Access is possible to the corporate offices by means of magnetic identity badges on which the levels of individual access to the different areas are stored.
Access is permitted through special barriers (turnstiles and "dapleaf" openings) placed at the pedestrian entrances to the offices.
Moreover, Sogei's offices are guarded and controlled, and the welcoming and reception services are controlled by qualified specialist companies awarded the relative contracts subject to public tender procedures.
