Company Profile

Sogei is an Information and Communication Technology company owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance for whom it has developed the tax IT system operating on the organisational basis of in-house providing.

Among other things, this basis contributes to the innovation of the Public Administration, guarantees standardisation, and ensures strategic actions, by which to govern the country, are implemented efficiently through system inter-operability, re-use of solutions, and integration of e-technologies.

Founded for the purpose of creating a modern Tax Register, Sogei is the company assigned to perform technology activities for the "tax system" and to assist the Administration in managing the IT systems for taxation and public gaming, as well as providing on-line services to the public, companies, regions and local authorities.

Sogei, with its IT solutions and technology infrastructure, acts as an interface between central and local organisations, between IT resources and the Finance Administration, and between the public and the private sectors. Sogei works to foster greater simplification in administrative procedures and more complete integration between central and local public administrations.

Sogei has about 1800 employees who, thanks to their consolidated know-how and a keen interest in innovation, help the Company be recognised as a national resource in the world of ICT. In a highly complex management arena, Sogei meets the needs of financial offices and taxpayers through a policy of constant improvement in methods and processes.
